I keep my place lighted with CFLs. It's pretty easy and they least for a few years instead of just a few months. I'd buy that one LED that was pulling 5w that's pretty cool. Probably wouldn't spring for the $80 bulbs.
Most of the office is CFL and regular fluorescent lights, although a few parts have standard bulbs... The problem with our CFL lights is they installed them all sideways in the cans, so any other bulb wouldn't fit and we would need to replace the cans with traditional straight-down sockets... But all the lights in the office add up and it would be cool to make the change. Of course the waste created by all the old cans and the material cost of installing all the new ones probably negates it. FUCK.
