Hi there! In case you didn't know, I created newgrounds. No, it wasn't made by some giant company - just some dumb kid who now has help. I also co-founded the Behemoth; we made Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers. Icon by Pegosho, banner by OmenaKettu.

Some Music I Listen To

Posted by TomFulp - January 27th, 2017

Here is some music I listen to while I'm programming, if I'm not listening to the Audio Portal.

I found Hussle Club via this Com Truise remix which is the one I actually listen to more:

I wish all these guys hung out on NG, I want to be friends with them.

Not sure if could do these while programming, but it's cool to know your taste tom.

Once in a while you should live stream Tom.

I tend to program in silence, but when I do feel like listening to some music I just throw on the Easy Listening station on NG Radio. Also this is some tasty music Tom.

but where's the rock n roll

this Hussle Club song is pretty good actually

Still......waiting.......for pico...... 2.......

:D Cool I'll have to use these while coding! Oh yeah could I message you about a little bitmap data thing?

lel coolio dude

Refreshing! :D Didn't picture you'd listen to stuff like this, though not bad. Hussie Club in particular. Probably had game soundtracks as subconscious reference point as to what your potential musical tastes may be at the sight of post title.

Wonder if your taste's changed much over the years though? Like: back when you were programming Alien Hominid, any idea what you listened to then?

Right before starting on Alien Hominid I had been listening to stuff like Interpol and The Strokes but now I'm hazy on what I was listening to DURING Alien Hominid. I remember one night while I was staying in San Diego, I bought the second release by Zero 7 (or the 2nd one I knew of) and it wouldn't let me listen to it on my computer's CD drive because it had some crazy rights management that thought I would only put it in a computer to make a copy of it.

During Castle Crashers I listened to a ton of Joy Division and Depeche Mode.

Ah, nice, a couple bands I actually know of this time! :) Seems a bit more fast-paced music, though even back then away from the most mainstream. Also a lot of English artists hmm, coincidence? Wonder how you go about finding new artists, if any one away?

And that's some crazy copy protection. XD Seems the copyright drama's always been around in some form. I remember Sony added DRM rootkits to 22 million of their CDs to keep the system from copying (which people weren't very happy with)... was probably a while after Alien Hominid though.

Actually now that I think about it, I could have been in San Diego working on Castle Crashers when that happened.

You have great taste in music, I usually listen to vaporwave when I animate.

kuedo is bae <3

Ayyy, you listen to classic stuff too. Off topic, but I became a supporter and tried out the unfinished version of pico 2. God damn, game would be a marvel back then, and still would be now. You said that game was a second attempt, would you ever make the first attempt available in any way?

I really should stick the first attempt on-line and link it from the author commentary, like I did with that one boss fight... I'll see what I can dig up on my office computer.

Wow, I didn't actually expect you to go out of your way for me to look on your pc for files, didn't even ask. You and NG's admins are great people, keep up the good work.

I just linked you to the ORIGINAL Pico 2 file over in the Supporter Forum. This was the 1999 version, before I started over with MindChamber.
