AT&T doesn't offer insurance for their phones? Thats what I have with my smart phone. I pay $5 a month for "insurance" and if the phone shits the bed, they fix it. I have Verizon and a Samsung Saga, but verizon offered insurance for my palm treo I had before it as well.

I remember hearing similar rumors about problems with Apple's updates to the Iphone's OS. I've purposely opted out of updating my Iphone for that very reason. It kind of sucks that I have to miss out on a couple of applications that require the update, but from what I've seen there's no way in hell Im risking updating it.
Rather than complain about the Iphone's warranty not matching up with AT&T's service plan, I'd just join the bandwagon and insist that AT&T be taken out of the picture. Their service is just horrible. Not to mention how much the constant dead zones around where I live that only effect AT&T carriers really pisses me off.
