Cool stuff Tom, that's the kind of 'extensive research' I'd like to have to go through... playing hours of retro bad ass games to decide which asset really helps it kick ass! Unfortunately, though I did play some of those games while younger, I didn't play them enough to have an extensive knowledge and be able to suggest , I could have suggested you some awesome emulators, but a lot of those grounds have been covered :P I've never even had the pleasure of getting my hands on a TurboGrafx, nevertheless an original Japanese one, a nice item you've got yourself there. I hope Castle Crashes really grabs the old school feel with two hands, I would have assumed it was too late to go back and add these key features, but clearly I know nothing. Welll uhhh, you and Dan keep up the good work ;D

See, old games are hard but do put you up to a challenge, but new games today in the 00's, suck hard ass. Which is why I hardly play my xbox360 and go straight to my Nintendo or N64.
The way you're talking about Castle Crashers going shooter in a level reminds me of how you guys did a similar thing with Alien Hominid and the aircraft shooting segment. I can't wait to play this game. I just wish it were also coming to the PlayStation Store.

I used to go to an arcade almost everyday during lunch. I play'd way to much Raiden and Metal Slug for my own good..
the game that had a special place in my heart was street fighters 2, i used to lose to my bigger brothers al the time. then when they stopped playing it for 5 minutes, i went crazily insane in the mind, blowing away both of them with sonic booms and shoryukens. that is how i got my obsession with videogames and fighting. lol ball grab, art of 1 million punches to the groin

Sounded awesome, i havent played any good games like this for ages, and the oldschool stuff is great as well, i dont tend to often play them (Usually cant be bothered or that i dont get the time)
