Both second and third levels sound like great concepts, I like the idea of digging for weapons, adds a big element of chance which is good.
Not sure about digging for gems, unless there's some kind of unlockable stuff for a certain number of gems, but the more arenas, the better. There were never enough on Destruction Derby, and head-to-head is fun.
Good luck catching up with shit :) You'll have even less time when you start creating kids :D
