My dad was a fan of the NeoGeo and played lots, well some games for the system until one day on Xmas he got me and my mom a NES but maby next Xmas he'll be get a snes or even a Neogeo.

Did you manage to check out the modern day SNK stuff like KOF XIV and XV Samurai Showdown and Metal Slug tactics?
I haven't tried any of the recent stuff. Metal Slug Tactics is a neat idea though!

I was also disappointed by ports of arcade titles. Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat are two that got it right but there were a lot of turds. Racing games seemed to be some of the worst. I would have loved to have been able to play The Simpsons Arcade and TMNT as they were in the arcade.
I'm glad you got your NeoGeo and think you should consider it a nice accomplishment. Growing up it was a console for the better off folks and I've still never met anyone that owned one. I always wanted a 3DO but holy smokes they are so expensive now. Peace.

I remember stopping by a random tourist location arcade once and getting pretty hooked on what I assume was Spinmaster, unless there's some other similar yo-yo type NG fighter out there... probably my one and only Neo Geo experience.
Recognize these titles though; good to see the community's still live and vibrant. May NG keep spreading that same sense of magic fo rizzle!
