Hi there! In case you didn't know, I created newgrounds. No, it wasn't made by some giant company - just some dumb kid who now has help. I also co-founded the Behemoth; we made Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers. Icon by Pegosho, banner by OmenaKettu.

Nice mixes! Although I was particularly fond of Rock the Casbah and Down Boy ... Whenever I try to make a CD, I can't help but fill it with old punk songs like the Clash, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Metallica, Daft Punk and the likes of that... Not that I regret it later :P

Its all rainy here too. :-(

meh lily allen has much better stuff than alfie. i dont really know hows the remix tho, so i cant really tell :P

Devvo is spelled with two V's.

You're thinking of Firth's friend... The band is one V.

i wish i had a CD..... and a car...... and beautiful weather....... and and amazingly cool website.... but i do have i tunes! :D

i didnt know you liked music?

Not a bad tune selection at all. Boyz by M.I.A. is by far my favorite on the list.

It'd be cool to be able to make "mixtapes" on NG in the profile, and have them stream after one another. And put them all in different lists. Then one could go back to whatever one used to listen to a year or two back and get the nostalgic feeling you were talking about, NG style :)

In fact, whenever I listen to waterflame's, px9's and dreamscaper's old stuff, I get reminded off how it was fall/winter 04 when I took the sub to work when I was living in Oslo... ahh, good times, good music... :)

The CD would be improved if it had a few Arctic Monkeys songs because they are the best band ever!

If I was listening to music to go with the current weather here in Brisbane, it'd be something rather dramatic and or emotional. It's miserable here D:

I only recognized one song. Alfie by lilly alen, man what a nice one too. Be warned the music video is freacky and I'm still not sure wether i like it or not. Alfie is this creappy pupet doll and his sister this hot chick (i think it's lily allen, at least it makes sense that it's her)
Anyway where did you first here most of these?

"Spoon - Don't You Evah"

Good song Tom :)

Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Shins are two of my favorites. All you need is some Islands, or maybe Tapes 'n Tapes.

No AC/DC or Guns N' Roses?
I'm disappointed...

I saw Super Bad and it was hilarious. Also women always do love mix tapes. Or mix CD's in your case ;)

The Yeah Yeah Yeah's kick ass.

And it wouldn't be a true reputable music post without a reference to Rock the Casbah.

Oh god. Half of them I havent heard of

Mark Ronson is awesome live. Also <3 for Gang of Four

Oh. Now this is popular blog. I thought NG blogs no read by anyone..

Ok ok... I m joking..

Bah, I like Bloc Party, but I suspect they're Socialists :(

I've been doing something similar lately: most new songs you hear are gonna be on the radio, or via suggestions from pals, or at a bar/club. You know, from somewhere or someone that isn't totally neutral. The way you first heard the song sort of defines what it will mean to you in the future.

But you see, I've been getting song suggestions from Pandora lately rather than anywhere else, and because it's kinda on my own terms, none of my recent 'new music' really has any attached memory. It's all totally neutral, so I can decide on my own exactly how I intend to apply that song to my life, if at all.

ITS BRILLIANT.
