Well the icon could've led to a front page, then the front page led to all the views.
Like I think it's the icon that gets the ball rolling.

46x46 is a pretty obscure icon size and too small to get a good looking image in some cases. Life would be much easier for submitters if every site used the standard 100x100, its infuriating to submit to game sites that require some dumb size like 142x76.
As the user icons are 100x100 I think it'd fit pretty well here for submissions too. If they were too big for front page could the be scaled down or would that end up looking ugly? Tried photoshopping what 100px logos would look like on front page, I think they look too big, what do others think? -

But seriously, it sucks that happened to you. I become a Grade A bitch whenever people take my video/audio projects, post it up on youtube, and end up getting more views than my video/audio did. What's worse is that sometimes they don't credit me.
Hopefully that doesn't happen to me when I decide to make a flash movie one of these days. :/
lol I was on digg for 15 minutes last week thinking itd be cool, I see sers w/ icons and im like, cool ill get one, I look for the utton that says icon pic change, there's none. theyll be recieving hate mail soon
I am not exactly sure why but it seems like most of the internet has an anti-newgrounds bias when it comes to two sources of identical content.
We theorize a lot that our problem is the "PLAY THIS MOVIE" link, whereas people expect to come to a page and have the movie embedded directly into the page.
It's the way Newgrounds was when it started and it's the way the Flash Portal was when it opened, but we changed it as a result of spammers who submitted auto-spawners. When pop-ups took over your browser, you couldn't get to the vote bar or the Whistle links, so you couldn't flag the abusive entry. So we stopped embedding the Flash directly into the page and it's possibly the biggest mistake we ever made.
We're working on a new view page that returns the Flash directly into the page. For under judgment submissions, we'll still have a buffer-link that you click to open the Flash. For everything else, there will be instant access to the Flash. SHOULD BE INTERESTING.
Unfortunately Tom, this is what I feared for everyone using Digg to help get the word out about Newground's cartoons. Unless we make ourselves power users and digg up everything Newgrounds related we'll never really get anywhere on that site. Digg has changed so much in the last 5 years that I fear Newgrounds may have missed the boat. If your not a power user (or a friend of Kevin/Alex) you probably won't get on that front page very often.

I am guessing it is the same principal on how people on youtube download the flashes here, post them on youtube and then in the notes leave a very tiny thing about how it isn't theirs and then they get millions of views and say how this is their best work yet and the original flash gets a tenth of the views and no comments.

Can't say I dont blame em but there is sooooo much more that Ng offers.
Blog sites and Youtube are a threat to NG. They must be destroyed.
Give me the word and I shall unleash all my mental powers and mullet powers on them. Assuming all humans have some form of physic powers in which we can disrupt the flow of life/the world based on our will. I may be able to give some of the higher ups on the enemy lines insanely itchy ball sacks which could screw around with their focus and turn the tide in our favour.

I think you need 100 diggs to get front page, and they probably just pay for diggs or something sketchy
