Hi there! In case you didn't know, I created newgrounds. No, it wasn't made by some giant company - just some dumb kid who now has help. I also co-founded the Behemoth; we made Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers. Icon by Pegosho, banner by OmenaKettu.

Oh wow, what an asshole. We're all a bit drunk today, so we'll get him tomorrow.

We need a MORE visible Digg button...
(yes.. big one... size matters... 'cause everyone like it big)

I think Stickman04 is right, we should just post "THIS WAS MADE ON NEWGROUNDS (link)" and hope it does something.

Thats some serious bullshit; I never understood the fascination behind uploading someone else's work.

Yes.

Illegal much? Or just despicable?

The quality is bad too, god damn you internet.

Don't worry Tom.
I will decapitate him, with a spoon.

The internet will never realize what a huge part NG played in its making. It's a real god damn shame.

:(

My guess this became so popular (rather the digg submission that linked to Newgrounds: <a href="http://digg.com/comedy/Epic_Beard_Man_The_Flash_Animation_VID">http://digg.com/comedy/Epic_Beard_Man _The_Flash_Animation_VID</a>) is because it had a much better icon, a marginally better title, and a better description.

The Newgrounds one simply isn't appealing at first glance, but the popular one is. Unless, of course, there are other forces at work, but I'm no digg expert.

Dick move

You outta watermark your guys' animations X)

Problem: Other sites stealing NG's most popular content and getting much more Digg traffic from it. What a bunch of jerkoffs.

Solution: NG watermarks for staff productions, artist watermarks for non-staff productions, possibly with a screen saying "Only for Newgrounds.com and <artist site>". Or is there an Actionscript command that makes it unplayable on non-NG sites, and some protection from decompiling? Combine all of those. And if anyone steals it then, we raid the website, hunt down the thieves, and beat them with purple umbrellas.

We are planning to get more serious with watermarks, although I imagine most people could just crop them out when they port to video. We've been pushing them on sponsored content, so stuff like HappyHarry and Ego's new movies have NG watermarks on the YouTube versions.

I would also like to get proactive with putting these videos on other sites ourselves, to get proper versions up with good branding and credits, rather than wait for someone else to submit a bad rip with no bumpers and whatnot.

You're definitely in the right position if you choose work with other popular media sites to promote newgrounds content, as opposed to simply writing hate mail.

LAME. Digg hates you Tom. The sooner you come to that conclusion the easier life will be
