Hi there! In case you didn't know, I created newgrounds. No, it wasn't made by some giant company - just some dumb kid who now has help. I also co-founded the Behemoth; we made Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers. Icon by Pegosho, banner by OmenaKettu.

Oh god! Your important!

Wait a second, it said Animutation started on NG. I thought it originated on Albinoblacksheep. Neil was there first correct?

Neil created Animutations but posted them on both sites, he may have been on ABS first though - there's a lot of weird stuff like that throughout... Like associating Star Syndicate with Teh Edn when that started with Clock Crew using the Eskimo Bob voice.

Look at us, all sciency and shit. We're like, a symposium of scientific amazingness and awesomtocity.

Also we have dick jokes.

plenty of dick jokes.. can't believe they forgot that..

Wow, thats some hardcore sci fi mumbo jumbo :)

we da best :O

Jeez, that's impressive. Were you privy to this prior to publishing?

Didn't have a clue... I actually found it yesterday and now I can't remember how I even stumbled across it.

thats pretty nifty

REDESIGN TIME.

I always thout VGDC stood for video games directors cut..

anyways I assume this is how mike views office interactions, and the human population in general.

Now that's a book.

That's pretty interesting. Felt like I was reading a newgrounds based thesis haha

NG has quite a few pages in this book.

That was certainly an interesting read. I wonder if when categorising Flashes as videogame parodies, they made a separation between those and the videogame parody PARODIES.
I think we easily have enough anti/ironic-video-game-parodies for it to count as it's own genre.

I imagine that in the next 15-20 years the internet is going to be a viable place for researchers to analyze events on the web . Right now, it isn't taking too seriously by the greater majority of academia because of the internets "extent of non-sensical trivialities". It probably won't be too long until Universities begin offering courses and lectures on the history and the usage of the internet...It makes me wonder how Newgrounds will be represented in the history of it all. Either way, Interesting find!

That's actually something that keeps me motivated - I like to imagine NG serving as a historical record in the next 100 years when there aren't many early records of web content left.

Also, I'm pretty sure I'm coming to Pico day next year. Beg me to come, so I can't back out.

Well now we HAVE to have Pico Day this year!

holy shit that might give me the notability i need to keep my wikipedia entry from being deleted

The part about "pwn(ing)" was pretty damn funny, just because it seemed SOO out of place in a scientific journal. It made me not want to take it seriously.
