I looked at another stat-page and checked newgrounds.com. This is just my theory but, EgoRaptor, Swain, HotDiggityDemon, a lot of major players to this site have either dropped of the face of earth or have switched their mains to YouTube. All of that plus the decline of visitors.

That's a pretty immediate and drastic drop. Strikes me as a technical complication or possibly even error. I wouldn't imagine it to just go from 80K to nothing overnight. Not that I have experience with the specific topic, but something that sudden doesn't quite scream "trending" to me.

must of been a glitch in the server where google analytics couldn't read the Newgrounds pages overnight.. Newgrounds reputation as the all time greatest flash sharing site shouldn't be destroyed like this

Well I haven't visited StumbleUpon in many months, and can honestly say that it appears that they've endured a massive redesign, which may have contributed to the traffic change, but that's just a theory.

Well i can check in with my father, a major part of his company deals with website trafficing. Maybe we can contact them and find out whats up?
I don't know much about the situation given the detail here, but i'll see what little i can do.

I'd honestly be more concerned about most of NG's upper rung animators submitting everything to youtube days or weeks before hitting NG.

I've looked around, and if anything, my advice if we can't get Stumbleupon.com back is to do something drastic... I'd say you start by using not just Flash Portal artists, but Art Portal and Audio Portal artists to do something as well. I suggest you put up a page or send out a Newsletter or something that asks the people to try to refer outsiders to NG, be it at conventions, concerts, heck, even ask someone to fund TV ads. We'd make some history right there. I grew up with NG, I've watched it evolve since 2004, and I think we'd be losing a landmark and a haven if the site ever went down. I'm going to do my part by referring people here to my second home, and I hope we can get around this roadblock.

It's annoying to me that they would submit to YouTube first honestly. They aren't going to lose as many viewers on YouTube as Newgrounds does by submitting to their first.

Hey Tom, I also noticed an ad here or there for a game says "Play on Kongregate". Does it hurt NG more than it benefits the site (ad money)? I believe on Youtube you can state if your video has a product placement in order so that they try not to show a conflicting ad from the products major competitor. Would something similar help NG?
