I'm obsessed with Cathode Raybots! Building them anyways. I feel like the goddamn Mega Man creator. Few things I'm wondering about though.
Is every Raybot reviewed in Random Gang supposed to give you a new item? I assumed items were meant as an incentive to review more user made Raybots but you can get them all pretty quickly in the Random Gang campaign.
Is there a way to delete my old Raybots?
Here's a small criticism, the difficulty scoring is way unreliable. Every score seems to either be a 0 or 5 and those estimates are usually wrong anyways. I don't know what parameters you're using but I'd say they don't work.
Also while I'm being critical, the Raybot search engine is pretty barebones. The ability to search Raybot names and more importantly usernames would be most appreciated. Also it'd be cool to be able to see what Raybots are using the Faces I've made.
Anyways great game, love it, can't wait for more.
Since the Random Gang is randomly selecting Raybots that aren't hard-coded into campaigns, you do get items for voting on them because you're still helping to rank unknown bots.
There isn't currently a way to delete your Raybot, that would probably be handy.
The difficulty scoring is kinda wacky, I basically auto-vote 0 if the boss loses and 5 if the boss wins, with the hope that it will average out to reflect how well that boss does against players. Maybe something isn't working quite right with that tough.
There's a lot we could do with this in terms of search and cooler stats if the game had a dedicated database, vs the sharing system which isn't as flexible. We've been exploring some possibilities for that sort of thing in the future!
