Hi there! In case you didn't know, I created newgrounds. No, it wasn't made by some giant company - just some dumb kid who now has help. I also co-founded the Behemoth; we made Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers. Icon by Pegosho, banner by OmenaKettu.

Twin Shadow

Posted by TomFulp - October 26th, 2010

Some songs really help me zone out when I'm programming and Castles in the Snow by Twin Shadow has been stuck in my head this week. That link goes to a different version than the official album release, although I can't find a credit for where it came from. The intro has that Sega Master System vibe that I love, sorta like "Vanished" by Crystal Castles.

DO YOU LIKE IT TOO?

Comments

I like it.

Personally, Sonic 2 has the best video game tracks I've ever heard. I get the Cave level one stuck in my head everytime I remember it.

Sonic still and always will have amazing beats.

I didnt know programmers liked music?

You didn't answer my question, Luis.

sounds like something the Gorillaz would make. I like it.

I like it. Ratatat usually helps me zone out during homework and concentration times. Sometimes if I turn on the Newgrounds Radio and turn it to the Ambient channel I REALLY zone out....and probably miss a lot of good songs too. :P

Sorry I have Pitchfork blocked on my computer. I'll let you know later.

Nice soothing sound with reminds me of old video game soundtracks a bit. Great.

Man that song's soothing, so I suggest you listen to a woodland enviroment and the song called "It's a Great Day to be Alive", they will really help you zone out

Yeah its nice. :3

Also the mention of Castles made me think of Castle Crashers, then that made me think of a question I've been wanting to ask you about Battle Block Theater.. Who programmed for that game? I looked around and I couldn't find credits.

The BBT programming is by Chip! He's over in San Diego with John and Dan.

seriously tom

kinda reminds me of hall of the mountain king

catchy song bro

I fapped to it.

I like these kind of songs. Any song that uses references or video game songs I really get into.

I could put this on an endless loop forever..

It's very re-listenable.

I love it. :D
