Two weeks ago, my iPhone 3G stopped working. Apparently the simcard reader died.
My one year warranty had expired in July, so I had to pay for a replacement.
If my AT&T contract was up I could have gotten the subsidy and upgraded to an iPhone 3GS for $200, however my contract runs until December so a 3GS would be $500.
Stuck in a contract but without a working phone, I had to pay $200 for a new iPhone 3G. I would like it if the Apple warranty could last as long as I'm stuck in an AT&T contract.
So I was gonna complain about paying all that money for a phone that died after 14 months, but my new phone is now having similar problems that require frequent reboots. I did a little research and it appears the latest iPhone OS is buggy and leads to problems that can't be solved by a factory restore.
I THINK I just paid $200 attempting to fix a software bug that Apple doesn't seem to be acknowledging. Now I have to schedule another appointment with your genius bar and see if I can get my $200 back.
In other news I updated Madness Accelerant throughout the week so check it out.
