I'm a sucker for hipster 80s looking stuff. And you can really zone out to the song!
2022 Update: This music video no longer exists on YouTube so here's just the song.
Hi there! In case you didn't know, I created newgrounds. No, it wasn't made by some giant company - just some dumb kid who now has help. I also co-founded the Behemoth; we made Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers. Icon by Pegosho, banner by OmenaKettu.

I don't get it, I just don't get it.

My link goes to the ORIGINAL submission on NG, while the second link goes to some blog that embedded the YouTube version.
So the question is, why did my post get less than 100 Diggs so far, while this stupid blog site got over 1000 and the front page of Digg?
The only difference I see is that their version has an icon... I'll admit I haven't been able to figure out how to add icons on Digg. We have icons in our meta-data per their instructions, but it could be that our 46x46 icons are too small for them to use (we're getting serious about moving to larger icons btw).
Anyway I know it's sour grapes but THAT DIGG FRONT PAGE SHOULD HAVE BEEN OURS.
BTW tank awards are going live around noonish!

Have I ever mentioned that I HATE FEBRUARY? I've never actually gone for a diagnosis of seasonal affective disorder but I have observed repeatedly that Feb is the most depressing time of the year.
We do what we can to keep things FUN though. MindChamber just filmed my part for the annual awards presentation, which he has to now edit together with lots of magic tape and scissors.
I've made some really good progress on a new game that came out of nowhere so who knows if I'll actually finish this one but I'm gonna TRY to because I have some big ideas for everyone else that sprout out from it. I'm trying to keep this one manageable, which is what I always try to do but usually fail at.
And I'm hopeful for THE WORLD.

Hopefully this site works out:
While I try to keep a healthy skepticism about politics, I do have to say that I draw a lot of inspiration from Obama and that alone can be more powerful than any government package. Fixing the world is a group effort and we have our own little stimulus plan in the works here at NG. More on that soon.

I'm more obsessed with the goals for NG as a website in 2009, but with the increasing number of really cool meet-ups, it feels imperative that NG as a social scene (dare I say LIFESTYLE?) must continue to evolve.
So in addition to NG's grand utopian vision revealing itself this year, here is a second goal I'm setting for 2009: The NG office is housed in a two story warehouse where we work on the second floor and store Penicorns and Tankmen on the first. I want to finally clean up (montage!) the first floor, spruce it up within reason, drywall the back wall and paint a giant mural that surrounds a big blank white box for projecting movies and games.
The first official unveiling would be when we announce the nominees for Best of 2009, via webcast (preferably NG Chat but more likely Stickam) and stream it all from the first floor venue. We'd fly out some popular artists and nominees, have a cocktail hour and then watch the nominees on the big screen.
So that's the goal; I've written it out, which makes it more likely to be achieved. We'll see in one year!
